COUNTERPOINT – Rather than leaving the spotlight on the doubts, fears or pro-reform procrastination, they opt for political mobilization against the anti-reform.

One is government number two Thick headed, the other the number three. Both come from the right and they are among the very few – the only ones? – Ministers to have a recognized political and media surface. Bruno the Mayor and Gerald Darmanin step up. While doubt settles in the majority and the allies become absent subscribers, the bosses of Bercy and Beauvau sound the counter-offensive. It was time.

“We must unite”said the Mayor, “we must assume” said Darmanin. Since the start of the dispute, the majority seems to suffer from the terms of the debate imposed by its adversaries.
