While housing tax has disappeared for main residences, the 34 million rental properties or secondary residences are still concerned. Only car parks and cellars are excluded from this type of taxation.
How to make this declaration online?
For the individuals concerned, it is necessary to go to the website impots.gouv.fr. Once on the platform, just click on your “particular space”, then on the “real estate” tab and fill in a “declaration of occupation”.
For professionals, you must connect to the same website as for individuals. Once this is done, the process is different. You have to click on “Approach”, then on the tab “Manage my real estate”.
When your declaration is in progress, a bubble of information titled “expected declaration” will appear above each property in your possession. For each of them, you will have to inform how they are used, with, if necessary, the name of the occupants in the event of rental and the periods concerned.
