Rugby: an amateur player operated on the cervical and placed in intensive care after a scrum
Seriously injured in the neck, this Sunday, Yusuf Tuncer, who plays at SC Tulle in Federal 1, had to be operated on urgently and placed in intensive care at the Limoges University Hospital, reported the newspaper La Montagne.
The end of the match turned tragic. While SC Tulle received Valence d’Agen in Federal 1 this Sunday, its pillar Yusuf Tuncer suddenly remained lying on the ground. During a scrum only seconds from the final blow, he collapsed before being quickly rescued by some of his teammates and an opponent, who gave him first aid while waiting for help to arrive.
The firefighters and the Smur de Tulle took over and, for more than an hour, they worked on the ground with the amateur rugby player, who was finally evacuated by helicopter to the Limoges University Hospital, where he was operated in emergency of two cervical and placed in intensive care.
Faced with the shock caused by this injury, the Sporting club of Tulle decided to organize a meeting with the players, the staff and the members of the sports commission, this Wednesday, February 1, in the presence of the regulating doctor of the emergency service of the hospital center of Tulle and the SC Tulle doctor. The TBS also sent a message of support to its player. “Sporting Club Tulle Corrèze and its supporters think very strongly of their right pillar Yusuf. The blue and white family is with you,” he wrote on Facebook.
