Raphaël Dupond-Moretti, son of the Minister of Justice (here in June 2022 in Haute-Garonne) was placed in police custody on Friday January 27 as part of an investigation into domestic violence.

Heard since Friday in Courchevel (Savoie), Raphael Dupond-Moretti was indicted for ” domestic violence » this Saturday evening, January 28. Presented to an investigating judge, he was placed under judicial control and released, report BFMTV and Le Figaro.
As pointed out the continuous news channel, the investigation relates to facts which occurred in the resort of Courchevel on Thursday 26 January. A neighbor alerted the gendarmes after hearing loud voices suggesting domestic violence. When the police arrived, Raphaël Dupond-Moretti had left the scene. His companion had taken refuge with the neighbor. To the gendarmes, she recounted having received punches, kicks and sacks.
The victim, in his twenties, filed a complaint, reported Friday franceinfo. The Albertville prosecutor’s office said it would not comment on the ongoing investigation.
“As a father, I am devastated. I have a thought for the victim. Any violence, whatever it is, is intolerable.reacted the Minister of Justice, Éric Dupond-Moretti. “As Minister, I have constantly fought against violence against women and for their voice to be taken into account. As a citizen, I ask that my family life be respected. It is now up to justice to do its job.”he added.
