The State Secretary to the Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development (Minmidt) Calistus Gentry Fuh is the new head of this ministry. This is what emerges from a letter from the Secretary General of the Prime Ministry.

“The Prime Minister, Head of Government has instructed me to let you know that the President of the Republic has appointed the Secretary of State to the Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development, Mr. Fuh Calistus Gentry to ensure as an interim, the continuity of service at the head of this ministerial department”, announced Séraphin Magloire Fouda, SG of the first ministry.

The appointment of the new interim Minmidt comes after the death of Minister Gabriel Dodo Ndoke on January 21 following a cardiac arrest, at the National Social Insurance Fund (CNPS) hospital in Yaoundé.

Calistus Gentry Fuh (60) is a native of the Donga-Mantung department in the northwest of the country. He has held the post of Secretary of State of the Minmidt since 2007. Before his return to his native country, the graduate of a State doctorate in Mining Exploration at the University of London was Director of the Société des Mines MEDAF, a company Swiss-based mining company with mining operations in West Africa.
