In order to travel with your pet in the best conditions, a study has ranked the European cities best suited to furry animals. Paris comes first.

Carried out by the online platform Savoo.fr, this study was based in particular on the number of restaurants open to dogs on site but also on the number of parks, veterinarians or even groomers present in these cities to establish this track record.

Paris

The French capital arrives on the first step of the podium of the most welcoming European destinations for animals. With its 172 parks, Paris thus has the highest concentration of green spaces. A pole position that it also owes to the presence of 342 dog-friendly restaurants and 156 veterinarians.

Berlin

In second place on this list, Berlin, for its part, has the largest number of dressage courses (112), thus cultivating a strong bond between man and animal. The city is also home to the second highest density of pet stores (107) to take care of your furry friend.

Madrid

Madrid comes to close the top three, thanks in particular to its 237 restaurants accessible to dogs, its large number of training courses (60) and its nearly 140 veterinarians available in case of glitches.

Rome

Fourth, Rome is by far the city with the largest number of restaurants open to man’s best friend (475). In this respect, it is ahead of Milan, which with its 400 “pet-friendly” restaurants comes 6th overall. Also note: the Italian capital has a large number of parks (134).

Barcelona

In fifth place, the coastal city of Barcelona is home to the second largest number of parks (138), behind Paris, and many restaurants accessible to dogs (223).
