Hervé Chevreau, mayor of Epinay-sur-Seine, refused to celebrate a wedding whose convoy degenerated, this Saturday, January 28. Two individuals were arrested.
A day of celebration that turns into a disaster. In the middle of the afternoon, this Saturday, January 28, a wedding normally planned in Epinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis) was canceled by the mayor following the overflows caused upstream by the procession. The municipality justifies its choice by the “multiple disorders” caused by guests, according to The Parisian.
Urban rodeos, insults, firing of firecrackers and fireworks have thus been recorded by the town hall of Epinay-sur-Seine. Two individuals were even taken into custody after beating a motorist. Suffering from multiple injuries, the latter was transported to the hospital and was able to leave in the evening.
The mayor of the town, Hervé Chevreau, held the future spouses responsible for the behavior of their guests, especially since a “charter of good conductis set up in the city which reminds us that the procession must obviously respect the Traffic Laws.
