Death of Adama Niane, actor seen in “L’Affaire SK1”, “Plus belle la vie” and “Lupin”
DEATH – French actor Adama Niane, known in particular for his remarkable role as a serial killer Guy Georges in The SK1 Affair (2015), died at the age of 56. It was his friend, director Olivier Abbou, who announced the sad news on Instagram. According to BFM TVwho was able to have the information confirmed by his agent, the causes are not known at this time.
“It is with great sadness that I have just learned of the death of Adama Niane, with whom I have the chance to work on the 2 seasons of Maroni and Furie. »wrote Olivier Abbou.
“We have not left each other for 4 years, sharing intense human and artistic adventures at the end of the world, in Guyana, in St Pierre and Miquelon and even in Lille (that is to say!). He was committed, on, whole, talented, powerful. He was my hero, a friend, an accomplice”he paid tribute.

Adama Niane was born in Paris in 1966 and graduated from the Institut d’études théâtrales de Paris III before starting his career on stage in the late 80s, reports La Depeche.
We could first see him in small roles in television series like Mysteries, Commissioner Moulin, Julie Lescaut then on the big screen with fuck me (1999) by Virginie Despentes and Coralie Trinh Thi or 35 rums (2008) by Claire Denis. In 2009, he landed a recurring role in More beautiful lifewhere he plays Sébastien Sangha.
But it was in 2015 that he gained notoriety by successfully playing the serial killer Guy Georges in The SK1 case of Frederic Tellier. He will then continue on the big screen with The West Indian gang (2016) by Jean-Claude Barny, Fury (2019) by Olivier Abbou, then Congratulations (2020) by Bruno Merle. Recently, he returned to the small screen to play in the series maroni, Alex Hugo and Lupine on Netflix with Omar Sy.
The latter also paid tribute to the actor on Twitter, at the announcement of his death.
