Victim of a heavy fall, Sunday January 29, on the Challenge Mallorca, the French cyclist Nacer Bouhanni, who had just made his return to competition, suffered from a cranial trauma.
The hard knocks are linked for Nacer Bouhanni. The French sprinter returned to competition last week and took part in the last round of the Challenge Mallorca this Sunday. But he was unable to finish the race after suffering a heavy crash in the final. And he didn’t come out unscathed. Nacer Bouhanni suffers from “head trauma” and “pain in the ribs”, indicated his Arkéa-Samsic team on his Twitter account.

The tricolor cyclist had already suffered two concussions last season before fracturing a cervical vertebra on the Tour of Turkey in April. This injury kept him off the road for nine months. And he may have to observe a new period of rest after this new fall.
His participation in the Classic America (February 12) but also in the Tour of the Alpes-Maritimes and the Var (February 17-19) is far from certain for the time being and should depend on the control examinations that he should undergo at his return to France.
