SOCIALIST PARTY – “All was not rosy…” the 80th congress of the PSwhich is being held from January 27 to 29 in Marseilles, enabled the party to agree on a new organization chartafter one crisis week marked by contestation of the results. So much so that some activists met on the spot feared that this congress could be the last of the party, as you can see in the video at the top of the article.
“It is true that for a few weeks, I was not serene”says Valerie. “We did not show a superb image of our party, I hope that this pact which has been concluded will show that we know how to come together”, hopes the activist from Vaucluse, who supported Olivier Faure. The latter is finally renewed at the head of the PS, while his opponent in the second round Nicolas Mayer-Rossignolskeptical of the agreement with Nupes, becomes first secretary delegated to Johanna Rolland, the pro-Faure mayor of Nantes.
A strategic line still unclear
A pact whose interpretation varies according to the militants. “ This governance pact put Olivier Faure at the head of the party, but it was certainly not the election that installed him. argues Lubin, an activist from the young movement of the Loire, who supported Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol. “So at the strategic level, there is no cut line”, continues his comrade Rémy. Conversely, the faurist Elliott assures him: “The political line has been clarified, it is that of the Union of Nupes” defended by Olivier Faure.
” Convinced ? I don’t know because I’m waiting to see how it goes.” advances cautiously Simon. ” We are not going to be able to put aside all the scars that may have been created during this campaign,” warns the Parisian activist, support of Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol. “But optimistic, in my opinion we have to be, because we are always together” he confides. Everyone repeats that ” work “ is now the only solution to truly emerge from the crisis. An antiphon which, at this stage, seems above all to come from the Coué method.
