While a documentary retracing his experience at PSG was released in Spain, Luis Enrique is still fueling debates in France. Among the thorny subjects is his stormy relations with journalists. A bias explained by journalist Nicolas Vilas.
“ It's two different things. For me Luis Enrique embodies a form of double questioning that journalists and the press must have today. Luis Enrique doesn't have a problem with the media, he has a problem with journalists. It's two different things“, explained the RMC journalist.
“What he wants is not to talk to journalists”
And Nicolas Vilas continues. “ Today the media is not just radio, TV and the written press. It’s also digital, social networks. Luis Enrique is interesting why? Because he says it in this interview: 'I like talking to people, in several languages'.“
“ He launched his Twitch channel, he likes the media Luis Enrique, but what he wants is not to talk to journalists. He doesn't like journalists. Today we have a problem and moreover we see it, what shift we must undertake with digitalization, we are in full internal reflection around this, all the media today are asking this question. How do we communicate with players and coaches who are locked in by their entourage and their club and who have their own means of communication?“, asked Nicolas Vilas.
