Mali: Junta orders Swedish ambassador to leave the territory

The Malian junta on Friday ordered the Swedish ambassador to leave Malian territory within 72 hours following a statement by a Swedish minister on Mali's support for Russia, the Malian Foreign Ministry announced.

“Madam Ambassador of Sweden in Bamako summoned to the Foreign Affairs, this 9/8/2024, received the notification to leave Malian territory within 72 hours, following the hostile declaration of her Minister of International Cooperation and Trade on Mali”, declared on X the Malian diplomacy.
