PSG transfer window: Paris offers 70 million euros for João Neves

After Vitinha and Manuel Ugarte, PSG has decided to go and find a new midfielder in Portugal. Elevated as an absolute priority to strengthen Luis Enrique’s midfield this summer, the Portuguese international João Neves (19 years old) is very popular with the Parisian management who have decided to accelerate in this matter by sending a firm offer to Benfica.

If, at this stage, the negotiations for the signing of the player are still subject to obstacles, a proposal estimated at 70 million euros including bonuses has reportedly been sent by PSG to try to convince Benfica to sell João Neves. An offer to which the Portuguese club has not yet responded. Since the beginning of the discussions, Paris has been patient since Benfica would want more than 100 million euros.

Renato Sanches involved?

At the same time, Portuguese media outlets are discussing this Wednesday evening the possibility that Renato Sanches will go the other way and join Benfica. Placed among the undesirables of the capital club after a disappointing loan to AS Roma, the former Lille player is the subject of interest from the Lisbon club, where he started his professional career, but the two cases are not directly linked.

Moreover, for the moment, there is no indication that the exchanges will go further for Sanches, with Benfica only willing to offer a loan, without transfer compensation.
