After a fabulous Euro, Lamine Yamal saw his market value increase. Enough to beat a new precocity record.
UEFA Euro 2024 proved to be a success for FC Barcelona players, with the Spanish national team having the most Blaugranas and ultimately winning the tournament. Despite having many players up to the task, it was Lamine Yamal who stole the show this summer.
With goal contributions in all four of Spain’s knockout stages and the most assists in the tournament, he won the Young Player of the Tournament award. The 17-year-old broke countless records during the tournament and earned a market value boost from Transfermarkt.
Lamine Yamal gains value
Of the many players who will benefit from an increase in their market value, the biggest increase of any Euro 2024 participant goes to the young prodigy. At just 17 years old, his market value has skyrocketed to €120 million, which is a substantial increase of €30 million from his previous valuation of €90 million.
After a stellar season at club level, Yamal has extended his talents to the international stage, becoming the first under-19 player to surpass the €100 million mark in Transfermarkt history, a record that dates back to 2004. Yamal’s increasing market value is a clear indication of his remarkable progress and the immense potential he continues to demonstrate.
Barcelona’s most expensive player
Lamine Yamal’s valuation, estimated at 120 million euros, makes him the player with the highest market value at FC Barcelona, surpassing peers like Pedri and Gavi.
To put things in perspective, the teenage sensation’s market value is on par with Fede Valverde and Declan Rice, €10m more than Rodrygo, Lautaro Martinez and Martin Odegaard, and €20m more than Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane, all of whom are elite talents in Europe.
After a successful summer with Spain, Lamine Yamal will now take advantage of the coming weeks to rest and recharge his batteries, as he will not be travelling to the United States for the pre-season tour.
The young winger will soon resume his quest for football supremacy in La Liga next month, eager to set new records.
