A young English tourist drowned in Lake Como in northern Italy on Wednesday, while his girlfriend was rescued by a passing boat.
According to the Corriere della Sera website, the two young people were spending a holiday on the shores of the lake when they decided to rent a small boat to take a trip on the lake.
They are said to have jumped into the water to take a bath, but the current carried their boat a little further away, preventing them from reaching it.
