Thiago Motta had other proposals

Thiago Motta’s agent, Alessandro Canovi, has spoken to Italian media to say that his client was spoilt for choice this summer for the rest of his career. And if he chose to tie himself to Juventus it was because he had very big ambitions.

“Some people contacted me to talk about Thiago. But the choice of Juve was very simple, it is one of the best clubs in the world” he told RAI 2.

“It was not difficult to understand each other and you can see how they plan all the operations together. Until April, Thiago only thought about Bologna. There were also other clubs interested, so much so that we only signed the contract with Juventus on June 14th”Canovi added.

The representative of the former Parisian then concluded by affirming that the first steps in Turin were very encouraging:
“Thiago, yes, he has immersed himself very well in the Juve adventure, he is happy to be in a club that has few equals in the world. His enthusiasm is at the highest level and he is convinced that he can achieve great results right away.”
