Regional 1: all in the same pool
There should be derbies every weekend, or almost. Seven of the 14 teams in Group A are from the Loire or the Hautes-Alpes.
On the Loire side, Feurs, administratively relegated by the DNCG, will have ambition and will necessarily be expected. Firminy, for its part, took advantage of the Forez setbacks to return to the highest regional level and, around its new coach Clément Peillon, is building a group capable of competing.
The Haute-Loire teams will be widely represented, including Blavozy and Velay FC, experienced at this level, and Brioude, promoted. Having had a great first season, Monistrol will try to confirm in this group, dominated by “Auvergne” (Aurillac, Montluçon, Riom, Chamalières (B), Thiers), also comprising the Puy Foot 43 reserve.
Championship resumption: August 31-1er september.
Regional 2: discovery on the Auvergne side for Saint-Paul-en-Jarez, L’Étrat and Chavanay meet again
It will be the intruder and the unknown. The promoted Saint-Paul-en-Jarez will be the only team from the Loire, but also from the former Rhône-Alpes region, in group B.
The partners of Tom Charrat-Boutique, the top scorer for the Loire in the League last year, will therefore discover this level on the Auvergne side. The Sampoutaires will measure themselves against another promoted team, the Blavozy reserve, but also US Sucs et Lignon, who should once again play the leading roles after narrowly missing out on promotion.
In Group C, the two finalists of the last Coupe de la Loire will, like last year, also face each other in the championship. Chavanay, like L’Étrat-La Tour and its big transfer window, will want to look upwards.
Savigneux-Montbrison completes this Loire trio, which will have to face in particular the always well-armed formations of the Rhône (Hauts Lyonnais (B), Craponne, Ouest Lyonnais).
Championship resumes: September 7 and 8.
Regional 3: 20 teams from Loire and Haute-Loire on the starting line
There will be a little, sometimes a lot, of Loire and Haute-Loire in eight of the 10 Regional 3 groups. Espaly (B) and Vergongheon (group A), Saint-Julien-Chapteuil (group B), Velay FC (B), Chadrac and Brives-Charensac (group D) will look between Cantal, Allier and Puy-de-Dôme.
Two of the eight Altiligériens teams will be together with the Rhone-Alps. Back at this level, La Séauve will accompany US Monistrol (B) in a fairly tough group D. Relegated, Côte-Chaude and Roannais Foot 42 will try to move forward, like Roche-Saint-Genest, who chose not to return to R2.
The Loire region will be numerous in group E with Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert, promoted, as well as Veauche, Villars, Saint-Galmier-Chamboeuf and Chavanay (B).
Finally, the Algerians from Chambon, Saint-Christo Marcenod, Pays de Coise and Saint-Chamond will try to stand out in a group F with a majority from the Rhone.
Championship resumes: September 7 and 8.
