For journalist Xavier Messe, the current functioning of the National Communication Council leaves something to be desired.

On the STV set this Sunday, the Publication Director of the weekly Calame recalled the role he played in setting up this structure responsible for regulating the functioning of the media.

“I have worked hard to make the National Communication Council something viable, to have content to regulate the media in our country, right? I have contributed a lot to that and God alone knows. I have achieved some results so that the National Communication Council is today an instrument that can, at least, if only psychologically, sanction those who deviate,” Xavier Messe said on the show ‘7 Hebdo’ this Sunday.

The journalist does not hesitate to describe the National Communication Council (CNC) as a machine whose powers must be reviewed and strengthened.

“(…) The CNC did not obtain everything. That is why I say that it is a thing. I would like the CNC to have all the powers to be able to regulate and sanction,” declared Xavier Messe.
