While its trip to Tel Aviv for a friendly tournament next September is controversial, it is against Maccabi that Asvel will inaugurate the next Euroleague season.
It remains to be seen where this first meeting will be played on October 3. In Belgrade? Due to the resumption of the conflict with Palestine, it is in fact in Serbia that the new club of John Loyd (ex-Monaco) and the French international Jaylen Hoard has relocated in October 2023 to host in the Euroleague.
Four days later (October 7), Pierric Poupet’s men will launch their European campaign at home against Italian side Virtus Bologna.
The clash against Barcelona on October 25 could be the first to be held at the LDLC Arena. Now owned by the Aulas family, the Décines venue is expected to host at least eight matches in 2024-2025, slightly fewer than the previous year.
As usual, the C1 will not take a break for the Christmas holidays with two days planned for Asvel: December 27 (in Bologna) and January 2 (against Milan).
Monaco at home to close the regular season
With the advent of Paris Basket, Asvel will save a long trip. It will first go to Monaco (November 21) before hosting the Parisian club (December 13). The return leg will be played on January 30 in the capital, while the Roca Team will travel to Lyon-Villeurbanne to finish the regular season (April 11).
