TV ratings: Jean-Luc Reichmann wins with only 1,000 viewers against France 3

Jean-Luc Reichmann narrowly missed losing his title of ratings king. On Saturday night, TF 1 narrowly came out on top with a special of “Douze coups de midi”, on the occasion of the 5000th edition of the daily game. The mischievous host welcomed celebrities, the 100 greatest masters of the game, his best candidates, to compete for one evening. 3.05 million people took part in the game, according to Médiamétrie. The market share for the entire audience aged four and over is 23.5%. It is 19.8% for housewives aged over 50 (FRDA-50), the target most sought after by advertisers.

Note the nice score, in the wake, of “Toulouse: the great fireworks”. Not having the broadcasting rights for the one in Paris, which will be broadcast tonight on France 2, the One had decided to broadcast the one from the pink city. Good idea since it attracted 1.8 million viewers from 11:45 p.m., or 26% of the public.

It took the use of VAR to decide in prime time between La Une and France 3, separated by only 1,000 viewers. The rerun of “Dans l’ombre des dunes”, a thriller filmed in the Arcachon region and starring Bruno Salomone, also captivated 3.05 million French people, or 19.8% of the overall audience (and only 6% of FRDA-50, which proves that the series attracted a rather older audience).

The Tour de France is the big winner

France 2 follows with a new unpublished episode of this new salvo of numbers of “Fort Boyard” (the 35th season!) which welcomed Claude Dartois, Marine Lorphelin, Pascal Bataille, Mario Baravecchia, Lorene Vivier and Maëlle. With only 1.75 million aficionados (12.1% market share), the show disappoints. Especially since it had already fallen below the two million viewer mark last week, but it had the excuse of being in competition with a Euro quarter-final…

A very difficult evening for M6, at the level of a TNT channel with “Ce soir on chante pour les pompiers à Carcassonne”. This concert presented by Élodie Gossuin and Jérôme Anthony who welcomed Amir, Patrick Fiori, Pierre Garnier, Chimène Badi, Billy Crawford, Natasha St-Pier and Samantha Fox only got 835,000 music lovers dancing, or 6% of the audience (6.2% of FRDA-50). On the TNT side, it was the trip to Naples of “Échappées belles” which came out on top with 725,000 loyal viewers of the France 5 magazine (4.7%).

But outside of the news, the biggest audience of the day was recorded during the afternoon. An average of 4.35 million cycling fans watched live on France 2 the end of the fourteenth stage of this Tour 2024, between Pau and Saint-Lary-Soulan Pla d’Adet, won by Tadej Pogačar, or 44.4% of the public.
