A cult show on PAF for over thirty years, Fort Boyard is also a relatively expensive program. This is in any case what the producers of the game revealed in the edition of July 13, 2024 on France 2.
Like every summer for more than thirty years, Fort Boyard once again amuses young and old. And this year, France 2’s flagship program is celebrating its 35th anniversary! For this very special occasion, some emblematic figures of the game, such as Patrice Laffont and Sandrine Dominguez will be presentwithout it being known yet whether they will be candidates or co-presenters. But this 2024 edition will also be somewhat shaken up and modified due to the Olympic Games. Indeed, France Télévisions will have to make certain adjustments with the show presented by Olivier Minne.
The summer game usually broadcast on Saturday evenings will therefore not be offered during the Olympic Games, but This 35th season will not be cut short. France 2 has decided to schedule some “non-summer” episodes, so that viewers can still find something to enjoy. In the meantime, this Saturday, July 13, we found new candidates, including Claude Dartoisthe famous adventurer of Koh Lantathe former Miss France Marine Lorphelin or the host Pascal Battlewho participated to win as many boyars as possible for the ARSLA association, dedicated to the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
An average cost of… 50,000 euros
But if Fort Boyard allows candidates to collect a tidy sum each week for the causes they defend, It is also an expensive show to produce.. Indeed, on Saturday July 13, after the tests, it was time for questions addressed to the producers of the program who revealed some of the behind-the-scenes of the show. We learned in particular how the ideas for the tests germinate, and above all, how much they cost. Thus, as the producers revealed, a test costs on average “around fifty thousand euros”. A sum that is not exactly modest but which notably includes the teams and all the technical constraints linked to the construction of each event.
