Now for the last outing of this Euro 2024. And of course without France, it’s a little less attractive. Respectively the conquerors of Les Bleus and the Netherlands, Spain and England face each other, this Sunday, July 14 at 9 p.m., for the final of the European Championship at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
The Three Lions secured their ticket to the Olympiastadion this Wednesday in added time of their semi-final against the Oranje thanks to a magnificent goal from Ollie Watkins (2-1). Gareth Southgate’s men had lost in the final on penalties against Italy in the last edition in 2021 and intend to take their revenge from a distance by winning against La Roja. For their part, the Spanish had validated their presence the day before by beating France by the same score (2-1), notably with an XXL performance from the young Lamine Yamal (16 years old).
The two teams have not faced each other in major competitions (Euro and World Cup combined) since the quarter-final of Euro 1996 won by the English on penalties.
The Euro 2024 final between England and Spain will kick off this Sunday, July 14 at 9 p.m. The match will be broadcast on M6 and BeIN Sports 1, as well as live commentary on leparisien.fr.
