Allier. An individual opens fire on several people, the prefect deplores “deaths”

A family reunion turned into a tragedy in the small town of Espinasse-Vozelle, in Allier. On the evening of Saturday, July 13, a shootout broke out and several people were killed.

“An individual opened fire, without reason, on several people. Deaths are to be deplored. The perpetrator has himself decided,” indicated the Allier prefecture on its X account (ex-Twitter).

A family reunion

According to information from the newspaper La Montagne, the events took place on private property, during a family gathering.

The toll is at least four dead, including the alleged shooter, according to the regional daily. Four injured people were also taken to hospital.

The prefecture also specified that significant rescue and security resources were deployed to the scene of the tragedy.
