On Friday, July 12, Bruce Toussaint gave an interview to TV Mag – Le Figaro on the occasion of the holidays of Hello! TF1 Morning ShowThe presenter, who had impressed in recent months with his weight loss, spoke about his new lifestyle.
After 6 months on the air, it is time for the teams to take stock Good morning! The Morning Show. For the first time in its history, TF1 decided to launch its morning show last January, with the aim of competing with the segment leader, Telematin on France 2. To achieve this, the channel recruited one of the big names in the sector, Bruce Toussaintsnatched from the hands of BFMTV. Your magazine Here is also revealed at the time the incredible salary offered to the host to convince him to embark on this project: 45,000€ per month ! Enough to put a lot of pressure on his shoulders, while TF1 has set the objective of reaching 10% audience share by 2025, which is not yet often the case, the show finding itself behind Telematin but also the BFMTV morning show. However, its conductor rolled up his sleeves.
“Don’t go out in the evening, go to bed as early as possible”
This Friday, Bruce Toussaint was indeed questioned during his interview at TV Mag – Le Figaro on his physical metamorphosis in recent months. The former Canal+ journalist has indeed appeared very thin. “I have always thought that the first quality of a morning person is to be in good shape, in the singular” he first joked. Determined to find this famous form, the host set himself a project: “This is the reason why I imposed a discipline on myself in every way : not going out in the evening, going to bed as early as possible and that also involved diet, which is a bit of a weak point for me. I consider that I have to be at 100% and it also comes a lot from energy, from being in shape in the morning and that helped me a lot” he added. With a show that starts at 7am and probably has an editorial conference a few hours earlier, the nights must indeed be short. But the project has won him over to the point of making him forget these aspects: “I am very happy and excited about this adventure. It’s been intense and it’s going to be intense again, but I’m elated.” he concluded. So everything seems to be going well at Good morning!who will return in September to try to conquer this now highly contested segment.
