This Friday, July 12, Ligue 1 clubs met to make a decision regarding the sale of TV rights for the championship. ASSE, represented by Huss Fahmy, Jean-François Soucasse and Ivan Gazidis, took part in the discussions via videoconference.
In the end, nothing has been decided and a new meeting should take place on Sunday. We will therefore have to wait a little longer to find out whether the Professional Football League will go through with its project to create a Ligue 1 channel, or whether an operator (DAZN or beIN SPORTS) will take a position. Although this postponement is not a problem for the Saint-Etienne club, its leaders remain sensitive to the economic situation of French football.
