A year after joining Bayern Munich from Juventus, Matthijs De Ligt seems set to leave the Bavarian club. The Dutch defender is getting closer to a move to England, according to information from Sky Sport Germany.
According to the German media, the Dutch rock has reached an agreement with Manchester United for a five-year contract, until June 2029. The opportunity for the 24-year-old player to reunite with his former coach at Ajax Amsterdam, Erik Ten Hag.
A financial agreement to be found
Now it remains to find an agreement between the two clubs on the amount of the operation. The Red Devils and the Rotten are discussing compensation that could amount to 50 million euros.
