Matt Pokora announces bad news at the last minute, fans “disgusted”

Unpredictable weather, disappointed fans. This Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the last minute, festival-goers at the F’Estivada in Rodez learned of the cancellation of the concert by the event’s headliner. While 10,000 people were expected, Matt Pokora was to provide the kick-off of the second edition of the festival. And his arrival delighted more than one! “D-Day I’m going to see Matt tonight”, “I can’t wait because I miss him so much”, “Who’s going to see MPoker in Rodez tomorrow”we can read on X posts, published at the start of the day.

The event was canceled this Thursday, July 11, 2024, due to the bad weather affecting the region. And via his Instagram account, late in the afternoon, Matt Pokora spoke. The singer confirmed the bad news announced a few hours earlier. “Tonight’s concert is cancelled. A thought for all the festival teams. We will take our revenge on the next tour”, assured the interpreter of The planets.

Many fans disappointed

It must be said that the weather conditions are restrictive for the festival teams. A situation which obviously surprised Matt Pokora himself. “The weather forecast for 2024 is crazy…,” then shared the singer in another Instagram story. For the festival-goers, it was obviously a shock. There were many of them to have come because of the presence of Matt Pokora. “Tonight I was supposed to see M Pokora and in the end it’s cancelled, I’m disgusted”, “My friend Bichette, this is the second time she’s supposed to see M Pokora and it’s been cancelled twice”we can thus read on X.

Besides Matt Pokora, other artists were to perform the show, like Mentissa or even Olivia Ruiz. Festival-goers can rest assured that, despite the sadness, the mayor of Rodez stated in a press release that all entry tickets for this evening will be fully refunded. Doubts remain regarding the second day of the festival, marked by the presence of Slimane and Loïc Nottet. The department remains under surveillance for Friday, July 12, 2024.
