Marco Simone coach in Algeria

Former Monaco coach Marco Simone is set to extend his coaching career in Algeria.

Marco Simone is back! We had lost sight of him a little since the end of his experience at AS Monaco. The Italian technician could relaunch his coaching career in Algeria. He would be among the favorites to take control of the USM Alger team.

The profile of the former PSG striker is being seriously studied by the managers of the Algiers club. His appointment could happen quickly if an agreement is ever reached between the different parties.

Simone with the Red and Black?

At USMA, Simone would replace the Spaniard Juan Carlos Garrido. The latter did not achieve his objectives during the past campaign, missing the qualification for the African cups (4e).

If appointed, Simone is expected to be joined on his staff by another former AC Milan player, Samir Beloufa.

Simone (55) has already coached in North Africa, but it was in Morocco and Tunisia. In Algeria, it would be a first experience for him if he is ever appointed.
