Could King Charles III and his son Prince Harry reconcile? Despite the willingness of both sides, tensions remain and may never disappear.
It’s been many years since Prince Harry cut ties with his family. Whether it’s with his father, King Charles III, or with his brother Prince William, dialogue has been broken. It must be said that Prince Harry has not failed to make derogatory remarks about the members of his clan: in interviews or in his autobiography The substitute, Meghan Markle’s husband never misses an opportunity to attack his family. But is reconciliation completely out of the question? Not so sure.
Former Royal Palace butler Grant Harrold gave an interview to the New York Post where he explains that Prince Harry is reportedly not completely opposed to the idea of patching things up with his family and especially with his father. Indeed, according to the Buckingham Palace employee, King Charles III would be ready to forgive his son if the latter agreed to apologize to him… But on the other hand, Prince Harry would expect the same from his father! For the butler, the only way to renew ties would be a public statement from the last of the family: “The only way I can see that happening is a public statement from Harry, where he would say that he was in a bad way and that The Substitute was a mistake”.
Meghan Markle would block reconciliation
Another small point that would pose a problem for the reunion: Meghan Markle would still be deeply hurt and would like before any possible reconciliation a personal interview with members of the royal family. But the other members would not want to see this discussion happen…
One thing is certain, the dialogue is not about to be renewed, even if Prince Harry would be particularly concerned by the state of health of his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton as well as that of his father, both affected by cancer. In any case, we hope that everything will eventually work out in the family.
