Lyon Metropolis. A fifty-year-old specialized in the theft of automobile parts

A 50-year-old man, unfavorably known to the police, was arrested on Tuesday July 2 around noon, on rue de la Soie in Villeurbanne, following an investigation into the theft of car parts. The investigations began at the end of March, when the police noticed the presence, on rue Professeur Joseph Nicolas in Lyon (8th), of a falsely registered vehicle filled with car parts and accessories.

The vehicle was placed under surveillance and investigations initially established that it had been stolen by the fifty-year-old, following a breach of trust. The investigation then showed that this individual had used the vehicle to steal car parts in the Lyon metropolitan area. On Tuesday, when the suspect was arrested, various tools for dismantling parts were in the vehicle. In police custody, the fifty-year-old denied the facts, but he was implicated in ten cases of theft of parts and accessories, committed since the end of March.
