Chet Hanks is hitting again at folks utilizing his “White Boy Summer time” catchphrase to advertise hate and bigotry … saying they’ve warped his good intentions.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson‘s son reacted Wednesday to a New York Instances piece highlighting the tagline’s rising recognition amongst white supremacists.
As Chet put it … he by no means cosigns the best way his sentence has been co-opted by hate teams.
He provides, “White Boy Summer time” is a lighthearted saying — in addition to a tune — which he describes as “a celebration of fly white boys who love stunning queens of each race.”
Chet reiterates, if the phrase will get “twisted into [something] “To assist any type of hatred or bigotry towards any group of individuals is deplorable and I condemn it.”
It didn’t take long for his fans to respond to his message … as they applauded him for speaking out, and for clarifying where he stood on the issue.
Yet, this isn’t the first time Chet has had to address his viral meme … previously explaining on “Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan” that the catchphrase — a play on Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Hot Girl Summer” — was meant to promote interracial relationships.

Chet, who has been accused of cultural appropriation for ceaselessly speaking with a Caribbean patois, was further confronted by comic Ziwe Fumudoh on her Showtime present when she asked if he wished to apologize.
He refused at the time, as he believed he hadn’t carried out something offensive.
