A performance that created panic among Democratic voters, worried about the state of health of the American president.
“I’m panicked. Certainly like I’m lying in bed at night and I’m overcome with fear. I don’t think Joe Biden is the best person to run in this election. I don’t know who that person is. But I don’t have confidence in Joe Biden’s ability to win this election. And that scares me a lot.” explains one voter.
In the Democratic camp, after a meeting at the White House with Joe Biden, elected officials are trying to reassure people about the state of health of the American president.
“He is fit for office. The president has spent three and a half years working for us, going through what we have all gone through. None of us denies that Thursday night’s performance was bad. It was a bad shot, if you will, on that score. But that doesn’t affect what I believe. He is fit.” said Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz.
Some are still wondering about the opportunity to change candidates. Several names are circulating to replace him: his vice-president Kamala Harris, the governor of California Gavin Newsom, or even the former first lady Michelle Obama.
