Nathalie Serre (LR), outgoing MP who maintained her candidacy for the second round of legislative elections this Sunday in the 8e Rhône constituency, explains that he is the victim of a harassment campaign.
“I am the target of a campaign of threats, insults and intimidation on my various social networks,” she denounced in a press release published this Thursday, July 4. “Even more serious, my personal number has been given to activists who are sending me intimidating messages.”
As she faces the National Rally candidate Jonathan Géry and the New Popular Front candidate Anne Reymbaut, “these harassers, from all over France, are open supporters of the New Popular Front who are trying to destabilize me,” she accuses. Before assuring: “I want them to know that they will not make me back down.”
Anne Reymbaut: “I am shocked and I understand her anger”
Contacted, Anne Reymbaut did not hide her dismay: “I am flabbergasted and I understand her anger. No one can do this in our name. If people from the New Popular Front are indeed guilty of harassment, I will take extremely firm measures, because that is not like me. It is not dignified, we have a campaign to lead, but there is no question of attacking ad hominem.”
