Lyon Metropolis. One of the largest moths in Europe spotted in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon

A Privet Hawkmoth was photographed at Plan du Loup in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon. Its wingspan (12 centimetres) makes it one of the largest moths living in our latitudes. This is the first time that the local environmental protection association has become aware of such an observation. Our newspaper has sought the opinion of a specialist from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon.
