Training: how to talk about cancer at work

This disease remains a taboo subject in many circles, particularly in the world of work, despite positions taken internally or publicly, such as that of Arthur Sadoun, the head of the Publicis agency, to show that no one is safe. But some companies have chosen to make awareness of the impacts of cancer, direct or indirect, a priority.

The president of the Bessé group (510 employees), an ETI specializing in insurance brokerage based in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) and Paris, thus offered in November 2023 to all of its 60 managers a “cancer and work” training course, open this year to all employees.
