Franco-Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte could make his return to La Liga this summer.
Al Nassr defender Aymeric Laporte is in Real Madrid’s sights. Real are looking for a new centre-back after Nacho Fernandez left for Saudi club Al Qadsiah.
Eduardo Inda, head of the media Okdiario, confirmed during the program El Chiringuito the interest of the Merengue in the Basque.
“Laporte is a central defender that several Spanish teams are looking at and he wants to return to Spain. One of the teams that has been watching him, although I’m not saying that it will happen, is Real Madrid, who are looking for a central defender.”
Laporte, rising value
“He has just turned 30 and he is a player they have in their sights. As for David Alaba, there are doubts about his physical situation, which is not the best. There are doubts about the date of his return and Aymeric Laporte would cost zero euros.”
Laporte has kept a very good reputation in Spain, where he wore the colours of Athletic Bilbao for a long time. At the time, FC Barcelona did everything they could to attract him to their ranks but were overtaken by Manchester City. His good performances at the German Euro also helped to rehabilitate his reputation.
