Bellingham reveals the player who dominates him

Turkish wonderkid Arda Güler has the potential to become “even better” than England and Real Madrid ace Jude Bellingham, according to the 21-year-old himself.

Bellingham brought Güler’s potential to the attention of the football industry at the 2023 Golden Boy Awards, where he received a record number of points from the independent judging panel.

Award founder Massimo Franchi recently revealed his one-on-one conversation with Bellingham at the 2023 ceremony. Franchi said Jude hoped his younger brother, Jobe, would be in the conversation for the 2024 Golden Boy Award. He then mentioned his new teammate, Güler, admitting that he had demonstrated “ “amazing things in training” for such a young player. The fact that Bellingham is willing to highlight the talents of his peers after receiving such an award is a nod to his modesty.

Bellingham, a model

Bellingham has already established himself as one of, if not the, most promising English prospects in the game today. He has adapted to life at Real Madrid very quickly, embracing the new culture of the Spanish capital, despite the spotlight of the traditional press and social media.

Given his meteoric rise, it’s no surprise that the social media generation is following him more than any other member of England’s Euro 2024 squad. He has over 31.5 million followers on Instagram and is reportedly paid over £65,000 for each sponsored Instagram post – more than twice the average annual salary in the UK. That’s according to casinoalpha, which explored the social media presence and earning potential of England’s star footballers in the digital age on its blog ahead of Euro 2024.

Güler, 19, is considered a diamond for the Turkish national team, in the same way that Bellingham is for the Three Lions. He left Fenerbahçe for Real Madrid in the summer of 2023. Güler’s respect for his former employer is reflected in the fact that he asked Real Madrid to pay more than his €17.5 million release clause to ensure Fenerbahçe got maximum value for his sale. Real surprisingly agreed to pay €20 million up front, with additional clauses.
