Zac Efron: the reason for his physical transformation revealed

In an interview with Men’s Health, Zac Efron spoke about the plastic surgery rumors of which he is the target. For the first time, the actor reveals whether or not he was on the operating table, and the precise reason for the transformation of his face

He is an actor that movie lovers have seen it grow. A child star of the 2000s, Zac Efron showed the full extent of his talent by starring in successful films such as High School Musical, Orson Welles and Me, or Hairspray. At the time, his relationship with actress Vanessa Hudgens caused a lot of controversy on the Web. Unfortunately, this romance ended after five years, since it was in 2010 that the two stars announced their separation.

The years go by and the cinematographic collaborations follow one another for Zac Efron. Over time, viewers see its evolution, both in terms of his roles and his physical transformation. But for several months, the actor has been the subject of a completely unexpected rumor: he has apparently undergone cosmetic surgery. The reason? A video published on Facebook last April where the actor is unrecognizable. Swollen face, drawn features, voluminous jaw… Something has clearly changed in Zac Efron.

Zac Efron responds to surgery rumors

If he preferred not to give importance to these rumors for several months, it was finally in an interview given to Men’s Health, in September 2022, that the actor has lifted the veil on his physical evolution. According to him, he has not never gave in to cosmetic surgeryalthough he admits that his appearance has changed in recent years.

A physical change that he explains by the fact of having suffered a jaw fracture in 2013, forcing the bones and the muscles of his face to strengthen differently. A fracture linked to a domestic accident, which led to a bad fall for the actor. “The masseter muscle just got bigger”he declared, in the hope that this rumor would never surface again.
