Despite the complicated relationship that exists between the two clubs, PSG wants to snatch one of its young prodigies from FC Barcelona.
PSG and FC Barcelona have had conflicting ties for several years. This does not prevent them from trying from time to time to snatch a talent from another. This would be the case at the moment since Paris would seek to enlist the very promising Pau Cubarsi.
The sports advisor of the Ile-de-France club, Luis Campos, already tried an approach for the young defender last week. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Portuguese made contact with Barça, but the Catalan management rejected him. The Blaugrana insist Cubarsi is absolutely not for sale.
Barça will not give up their prodigy
This young prodigy made his professional debut just a few months ago. His rise has been meteoric since then, even joining the Spanish national team. However, Luis De La Fuente, the boss of La Roja, did not retain him for the Euro, for fear of “burning” him.
Cubarsi signed a new contract at the start of the year until 2027, with a buyout clause of 500 million euros. Needless to say, PSG will not pay that much money for this element, despite all the promises it generates.
