After creating a surprise at the BAFTA 2024, Michael J. Fox made a notable musical appearance during the Glastonbury Festival by joining the group Coldplay on stage in front of delighted fans. The legendary interpreter of Marty McFly appeared on his wheelchair, guitar in hand.
Michael J. Fox has been living with Parkinson’s disease since 1991. When the documentary was released Still broadcast on Apple TV, he confided: “I would never have been able to cope with the disease in this way without the love and constant support of my wife and children.. Being able to see my children grow up and hear them laugh has been the greatest gift of my life. I try to ignore all my worries but I have to admit that It’s sometimes difficult to plan for the future“. On CBS Mornings He also stressed that being positive helped him a lot in living with the disease. “To do that, you have to stop everything and say to yourself: ‘it’s not so bad’”he assured.
Michael J. Fox has been fighting the disease for 33 years and created his own foundation, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, in order to contribute on its own scale to research against the disease. “It’s not a cure. But it’s a spotlight on where we need to go and what we need to focus on to make sure we’re going in the right direction.”he detailed. Last February, he made a notable appearance at the BAFTA 2024. Arriving on stage in a wheelchair to applause in the audience, the actor stood in front of the lectern to present the trophy for best film. “A great movie can change your day, your outlook on things, and maybe even change your life,” he then declared before announcing Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan’s film, winner.
