What is lipocavitation?
Lipocavitation is a completely painless and non-invasive treatment which aims to reduce fat located on certain parts of the body. Areas such as the stomach, thighs, hips or arms can be treated, even if the fat is not localized. How? For about thirty minutes, the practitioner passes over the area to be treated, a machine that uses ultrasound to target and eliminate subcutaneous fat cells. The ultrasonic waves emitted by the handpiece create gas bubbles in the interstitial fluid of the fat cells, causing them to burst. These will then be eliminated naturally by the body’s lymphatic system.
Lipocavitation: how many sessions to see results?
Obviously, there is no magic recipe, the results vary according to the individuals, and also depend on different factors including: the amount of fat to be treated, the individual metabolism, and undeniably, the lifestyle. However, it is generally recommended to carry out 8 to 12 sessions, at a rate of one session per week for significant results. It is also advisable to drink plenty of water and have a healthy lifestyle to optimize results and avoid storing fat again. This technique can delight people who have a normal body mass index (BMI). or slightly elevated and who wish to eliminate localized fatty deposits. However, it is unfortunately not suitable for obese or significantly overweight people.
