Three weeks of express campaign… for what results? The first round of legislative elections took place this Sunday, throughout France (from Saturday in certain overseas territories). Nearly 50 million registered voters are invited to vote at the polls while a record participation rate since 2002 is expected.
On this provisional map, you can discover, in each constituency, the results over the course of the evening and their reporting to the Ministry of the Interior. Several scenarios are possible: “unsuccessful”, “won” (i.e. elected in the first round), duel, triangular or quadrangular.
The results of 566 constituencies transmitted at 2 a.m.
As of 2am, the results of 566 constituencies – out of 577 – had been transmitted by the Ministry of the Interior. Please note: some results are considered partial. Click on each constituency to see the main results. Information on the election or the placing of candidates in a second round will only be displayed once all the results have been transmitted in the constituency concerned.
The RN at the head of 259 constituencies out of 566 reached
A second map allows us to imagine the dominant position of the RN and its allies as the results emerge. Jordan Bardella’s party is leading in 259 constituencies. His LR allies, united behind Eric Ciotti, hold the lead in 37 of the constituencies transmitted by the Ministry of the Interior, still at 2 hours.
The New Popular Front reddens the map of nuances which came first in 150 territories. For its part, Together! (union of the presidential majority) turns 58 constituencies yellow.
In the legislative elections, the fact of being in the lead in the first round and in a tie does not bode well for the result of the second round. Only candidates having received more than 50% of the votes cast are considered elected.
