Football. ASSE faces a Ligue 1 for its third friendly match of the summer

Little by little, the preparation of the Greens is taking shape and the new test scheduled for this summer will satisfy the many Saint-Etienne supporters on vacation in the South of France. AS Saint-Étienne will face Montpellier (L1) on Wednesday July 31 (6 p.m.) in Lunel (Hérault) for its third preparation match.

A meeting against MHSC that Anthony Briançon’s partners, badly affected by an epidemic of gastroenteritis during the training camp in La Plagne (Savoie), had to cancel last summer. Olivier Dall’Oglio will pray to be spared a fortnight before the big return of ASSE to Ligue 1, the weekend of August 17 and 18 in Monaco.

Foreign teams on the menu?

The Cévenol will return to their group on Monday, July 8 in L’Étrat to resume training before making the short trip to Chambon-sur-Lignon (Haute-Loire) for a training camp from July 13 to 20. It will conclude with the first of five summer general rehearsals against Clermont (L2), in Puy-en-Velay (6 p.m., at the Massot stadium).

ASSE has made good progress on its three other opponents, some of whom are foreign teams, but a few details still need to be sorted out.
