A curfew? The new Lamine Yamal scandal

Luis de la Fuente has confirmed that Lamine Yamal will not be replaced before 11pm in Spain’s match against Georgia.

Confusion reigned over whether Spain could field its 16-year-old superstar, still coveted by PSG, at the risk of breaching German labor laws. The rules state that anyone under the age of 18 cannot work beyond 8 p.m., but athletes are allowed to work until 11 p.m., which includes post-match interviews and media duties. De la Fuente refuted any suggestion that Yamal would not play or be replaced prematurely.

In his press conference, De la Fuente said about Lamal: ” We talk to him every day, every day.”

Yamal has the right to go to bed late

“He shows incredible maturity for his age, but he is developing both as a footballer and as a person. We are all responsible for this process. We will do our job and let him play. Nothing more.”

“I don’t know the German legislation whether Lamine has to be out at 11pm… We don’t think that’s the case.
