1st round of legislative elections: in Essonne, the New Popular Front in the lead in seven out of ten constituencies

It was not the big evening for the National Rally in Essonne. Leading at the national level, only its outgoing candidate, Nathalie da Conceiçao Carvalho, comes first in this first round, as well as Stefan Milosevic (RN) in the 3rd constituency. But the breakthrough is there with six other candidates who reach the second round thanks to triangulars. For now, the winners of this election night are the New Popular Front (NFP) with seven candidates ranking first. The presidential party is taking on water.

The New Popular Front alliance confirms its good results for 2022 and the European elections in the department. Its three outgoing deputies, Farida Amrani in the 1st constituency (Évry/Corbeil) obtains 43.12%, Antoine Léaument in the 10th (Fleury/Grigny) and Jérôme Guedj in the 6th (Massy/Palaiseau) are all in the lead. The latter had refused the support of LFI and was leading with 34.44%.
